Fibrelite pit covers of GRP composite material class B125, surface-watertight, clear width 760 x 760 mm and clear width 1400 x 700 mm
The civil engineering office invited tenders for stainless steel pit covers for this site. We submitted an optional tender for our GPR composite covers with aluminium frame. Based on the equivalency and the non-corrosive, surface-watertightness, odour-tightness, easy handling, and last but not least due to the cost savings, Fibrelite covers were ultimately selected for this contract.
Cost savings – fibre composite covers compared to alternative covers made of V2A 1.4301 stainless steel is about 20%.
