Benefits

Sump covers of glass fibre composite material are user friendly, low-maintenance, antistatic, and fire-retardant due to the use of new glass fibre composite materials and improved technology.

The low cover weight makes heavy lifting equipment dispensable. Only one person is needed to lift it out even a cover with a clear width of 1,020 mm; the lid weighs merely 53 kg while it has a load class E600 (60t) at the same time! “Light-weight with high load capacity” is not a contradiction of terms with our composite covers.

Anti-slip property

We had the surface structure of our glass fibre composite covers tested for their anti-slip property according to DIN 51130 and the result was a very good value in rating class R11.

The test according to DIN 51097 for use in barefoot areas with surface water exposure had a successful result with classification in the highest class.

Surface-watertight / pressure-watertight

The surface-watertightness is ensured by the use of a special sealing in the frame and lid, respectively.

This prevents the liquids from penetrating into the pit. Take a look at our test setup for checking the pressure-watertightness.

Load classes

Depending on the cover type, we can guarantee loads up to class F900. Of course, we can also supply products for the common load classes A15, B125, C250 and D400.

Areas of application

The glass fibre composite offers many possibilities. For example, telemetric data can be read out by wireless transmission without having to open the cover. Another benefit is that the covers can be provided with an interior lid so that it is not necessary to remove the complete cover.

Whether in a stadium or a theatre, industrial slaughterhouse or in lobby areas – we are sure we can offer you the fitting composite cover for your application profile!
